About me

About Me!

My name is Sabrina Poulin, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in translation from the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières, with a minor in medical biology and pharmacology. Since my academic and personal beginnings, I have always been fascinated by language: its precision, its ability to convey nuances, and its essential role in connecting different worlds.

My passion for translation stems from a deep desire to make information accessible and clear. In the medical and pharmaceutical fields, where every word counts, I bring my strengths to the table: rigor, attention to detail, analytical skills, and sensitivity to the human context. These qualities enable me to deliver accurate translations that are tailored to the target audience and always understandable.

Before fully embracing this profession, I worked in the hearing health and sales representation sectors. These experiences taught me the importance of accurate communication, attentive listening, and a professional approach. Today, they feed into my specialized translation practice.

Self-taught at heart, I continue to learn and perfect my knowledge. Each assignment is an opportunity for me to combine linguistic precision and a commitment to quality, with the clear goal of facilitating communication between healthcare professionals, patients, and institutions.

My qualifications and certifications

My academic and professional background reflect my curiosity and constant desire to improve myself:

  • Bachelor’s degree in translation with a minor in medical biology and pharmacology.
  • Member of the Quebec Order of Certified Translators, Terminologists, and Interpreters (OTTAQ)
  • AEC in International Trade and DEP in Tourism, two programs that opened my eyes to the world and enriched my understanding of intercultural communication.
  • Three-month internship with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), where I gained an inside look at an organization based on three main components: the Royal Canadian Navy, the Canadian Army (land forces), and the Royal Canadian Air Force, supported by Special Operations Forces.

Translating well is my priority!

In the medical and pharmaceutical fields, every word counts. An inaccurate translation can create confusion and even jeopardize the understanding of essential information. For me, translating well means above all ensuring clarity, safety, and accessibility.

My goal is simple: to ensure that your patients, colleagues, and partners understand exactly what you want to convey, regardless of the language used.

I provide personalized support for the translation of your medical, pharmaceutical, and scientific documents.

Adaptation according to the target audience (patients, healthcare professionals, institutions)

Medical and scientific translation requires much more than just a good command of languages: it demands a detailed understanding of terminology, absolute rigor, and the ability to adapt to the context and the reader. This is precisely what drives me in my daily work!

I assist healthcare professionals, researchers, and pharmaceutical companies with the translation of essential documents, always with the same goal in mind: to deliver clear, fluid, and accurate content that respects technical jargon while remaining understandable to its target audience.
